Refreshing breakfast cereal cocktail with figs and banana

It would not be the right summertime without a refreshing cold tasty cocktail! And it would not be the right cocktail without fresh healthy ingredients! This is what all this recipe is about. I decided to show you an original milk cocktail recipe that will change your boring breakfast stereotypes and enrich your menu.  If you do not fancy milk, feel free to use yoghurt. This cocktail recipe is perfect morning breakfast booster that will fuel you with the necessary energy for all day. Be sure you will not need to eat any extra dish.

I created this recipe myself and when I was preparing the cocktail I was eager to see the result myself.




When I was small my mum would always prepare us banana milk cocktail and that was the base that I used for the recipe. I think banana as a fruit likes to be combined with many types of fruit but not with all. So when I drank the cocktail I was overwhelmed by the result. I added some more extraordinary ingredients – especially fresh figs. Unfortunately, they are a seasonal type of fruit that appears in the supermarkets only at certain time of the summer, that is why I decided to use it. It is rare yet delicious and I love it so much.

You do not need to worry about your body shape when eating figs. On the contrary, they help to reduce weight and boost your metabolism. But be careful not to eat to many of them. And one more tip – do not keep them in fridge for too long. Eat them as soon as possible. Figs are an incredible source of potassium helping to keep you blood pressure normal and lowering your cholesterol. They are one of the top fruit that fight against cancer, too. These are one of the main benefits of figs, however there are plenty more of them.

But let’s move to the recipe itself, I am sure you can’t wait to try it. Here is the promised recipe :)


Ingredients: (for two cocktail cups)

1 banana
2 figs
3 soup spoons of natural fruit oats
2 cocktail cups of milk (yoghurt)
1 tea spoon of lemon water
1 tea spoon of honey

Method:

Blend all of the above ingredients with milk using a blender. Serve immediately with ice.
Enjoy your meal!
