Spring Brussels Sprouts Salad with Garlic Sauce
Today, I want to share with you a great healthy cuisine recipe which is easy to prepare and will taste delicious.
I love all kinds of salads and this one is definitely one of my favourite. It is good to eat salads with some kind of protein - for example cheese, youghurt or protein rich foods like chickpeas or beans. It will be easier for your body to digestine the vegetable and moreover you will not be hungry after one hour.
Do not forget, that eating healthy does not mean you will only need to eat tastless dishes.
Many people cannot prepare Brussels spruce tastefully and in a way that will make its interesting taste prevail. They either cook it too much, which make them loose their nutrients or cannot combine it with the right ingredients. Brussels Spruce can be eaten raw, cooked or pickled. It is high in proteins, low in calories, that is why it is an ideal food to be part of your menu when loosing weight. Do you want some more reasons why to eat Brussels Spruce? They are known to be fighting against cancerand other health problems such as diabetes or heart diseases.
Spring has arrived and different spring vegetable starts to be available in the markets. Let´s buy all the ingredients that we need for this recipe and cook together.
Ingredients: (1 portion)
10 pcs of Brussels Spruce
1 carrot
50 g of corn
50 g of fresh green beans
4 pices of garlic
1 lemon
5 tablespoons of olive oil
pinch of salt
Directions:
Let the water to boil. Add salt, Brussels Sprouts, carrot, beans, and corn to the boiling water. Cook for 10-15 minutes, not more. Meanwhile, we can prepare sauce. Squeeze the lemon, add pressed garlic and olive oil, mix everything. Serve the cooked vegetables on a plate, pour the sauce and serve immediately.
