Why not to miss the Winter Olympics Pyeong Chang 2018


The Winter Olympics at Pyeongchang are in full swing, their first half finished, but there are a few more days ahead for the top athletes in their sporting disciplines, why should we not miss them?

Olympic games are a world event, preceded by years of hard work and training of athletes, years of preparation for organizers, they are the peak of the sporting season. Getting the Olympic medal is the dream of every athlete, it's an event that writes history, an event that is repeated only once in four years.

Even for me, the Olympic Games are something special. Unfortunately, I have not yet had the chance to personally attend the Olympic Games, whether the winter or the summer ones, so at least I watch them on the TV, drinking my coffee or tea and enjoying the performances of athletes which always bring a bunch of different and exciting emotions - joy, disappointment, sadness or gratitude. I confess, teas also poured down my face.

These Olympic games have given me something - they inspire me to follow the examples of athletes who fight with themselves, I get inspired by their perseverance, determination, fervor, also the ability to accept a loss, enjoy the victory of others, and never give up.

These are the qualities that we lack in life, but each of us can have them, too. We, who are not athletes, also fight daily, we strive to get closer to our dreams and ideals, and it is up to us to give up this fight or to get back to our feet and go on. Even an athlete who does not win a medal can give up and say they had trained many years for nothing, but instead they are glad they could participate in the Olympics and gain such an experience and with determination they continue to work their way up until the next competition.

Olympic athletes also inspire me by their disciplined living, the way they work each day, that is why I set a new goal for myself until next summer that is to live healthier, regularly do some sport and lose a few pounds, I will do it for myself to feel healthier and happier with myself. You can also get isnpired by the Olympic athletes, it is easy!
